Doing Our Part
Romans 12:4-13 NASB
4For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function,
5so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. 6And since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let each exercise them accordingly; if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; 7if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; 8or he who exhorts in his exhortation;he who gives with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. 9Let love be without hypocrisy, Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. 10Be devoted to one another in brotherly love;give preference to one another in honor; 11not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12rejoicing in hope, perservering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, 13contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.
As I was walking around the ranch one day, and while we were discussing the amount of resources that we would need, I heard the Lord say to me, "You do the work that I give you, and I will supply all that you need." I thought, "Wow! I just have to do what you say, and you will supply all that we need?!" Hehe. This wasn't one of my quickest moments. It was a while before I realized that if the Lord wanted to do a work, He would, of course, provide for the needs.
From the beginning, He has provided for us. We are the Body of Christ in action. We all have gifts that he has given us and we use those gifts when, and only when, He directs us. He has already put the Body in motion to build this ranch.
